More Info

The City of Dallas Office of Emergency Management is already planning its 4th Annual Preparedness Extravaganza Event at Klyde Warren Park on September 16, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Preparedness Extravaganza is an outdoor, family-friendly event with food, fun, music and preparedness activities that enables Dallas residents and guests to begin creating their own emergency supply kit and go home more prepared for emergencies.

This year we are also pleased to announce we will have appearances by former Cowboys players, Jay Saldi and Bradie James as well as Miss Tarrant County Outstanding Teen 2017, Alyssa Gray. We also feature emergency vehicles, first responder units, organizations, and vendors to help educate and prepare residents for any disaster.

September is recognized as National Preparedness Month (NPM) serving as a reminder that we all must act to prepare, now and throughout the year, for the types of emergencies that could affect us wherever we are. The goal is to increase the overall number of individuals, families, and communities that engage in preparedness actions at home, work, businesses, school, and place of worship.
