Mindless Behavior:
The quartet of talented boys is the brainchild of the power-duo of producers Vincent Herbert, known for his work with Destiny’s Child and Lady Gaga, and Walter Millsap, who has worked with Alicia Keys and Beyoncé. Together, they created a sweet, squeaky-clean R&B group that has quickly become a teen pop phenomenon followed by their army of screaming fans.
In 2008, the group was born from an open audition, held by the producers and songwriter Candice Nelson (Mary J Blige, Britney Spears), and choreographer David Scott in Los Angeles Mindless Behavior is a pop-R&B group featuring singers and dancers Princeton, Prodigy, Ray Ray, and Roc Royal. The quartet was signed to Interscope within half a year of its formation and debuted on the Billboard charts in February of 2011 with their first single, “My Girl”. Their style can be described as a mix between the pop-heartthrob power of Justin Bieber and the smooth pop-R&B of Chris Brown’s early albums. Shortly after the release of the follow-up single, “Mrs. Right,” the group’s first album, #1 Girl, debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200.
Around the same time, Mindless Behavior graduated from opening for Janet Jackson to headlining their own US tour. Their meet-n-greets draw thousands of girls lining up for hours in malls just to see these teen stars. The 2012 Mindless Behavior tour will take the guys all over the East, South, and Midwest with twenty-two hot shows. Get your tickets while they last!
